Alberta (AP) — Conor Garland antworten

EDMONTON Joel Eriksson Ek Jersey , didn’t even need his stick to help the Arizona Coyotes beat the Edmonton Oilers.Garland scored a pair of power-play goals, one that went in off his face and left him bloodied and another off his skate , as the Coyotes defeated the Oilers 3-2 Saturday night.“I wasn’t too sure what hit me,” said Garland, who needed 10 stitches after the puck struck him above the left eye. “I knew I got hit and then I saw the blood and as I was going off the ice, someone yelled ‘nice goal,’ so that’s when I realized. Then it was on the TV in the medical room, so I got to see it.“It was pain, but more I was wondering where the blood was coming from. I don’t know how to describe it, I have to go the net if I want to play in this league and get some goals from the blue paint. That’s the way it has to be.”Jordan Oesterle also scored for the Coyotes, who have won three straight.“I thought everybody contributed tonight Authentic Marcus Johansson Jersey , there were no passengers,” Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said. “After we scored those two goals, we could tell we got a little more confidence. We rolled the four lines and everybody contributed tonight.”Connor McDavid and Kris Russell scored for the Oilers, who have lost nine of 12.“We had a couple of bad bounces, obviously,” McDavid said. “One goes off a guy’s face and the other one bounces back into the slot off of the end boards. You can’t just blame it on that. We could have been better, for sure.”The Oilers opened the scoring in the first period when McDavid fought off a pair of defenders and moved in on a breakaway, beating goalie Darcy Kuemper for his 27th goal of the season.Arizona tied it up just over a minute into the second period as Oesterle beat Edmonton starter Cam Talbot. The goal survived a video review for a suspected offside. The Oilers took a penalty for challenging that goal and the Coyotes made them pay.Garland scored on a scary play as a point shot struck him in the face when he was in the crease and the puck went into the net. Garland was bleeding heavily and taken to the dressing room.Edmonton tied it up with three minutes left in the second period as the puck came out front to Russell, who waited for Kuemper to go down and scored his second of the season.Garland came back for the third period and got his second goal of the game on a power play as the puck caromed off his skate and into the net for his sixth goal in four games.NOTES: The Coyotes have been riddled with injuries this season, coming into the game with 210 man-games lost to injury or illness. That’s the third-most in the NHL. Among those out for Saturday’s game included Christian Dvorak (upper body), Jason Demers (upper body) Michael Hutchinson Jersey Womens , Antti Raanta (lower body), Michael Grabner (upper body), Nick Schmaltz (lower body) and Brad Richardson (upper body). … Center Jordan Weal made his debut for Arizona after being acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday in a trade for defenseman Jacob Graves and a sixth-round pick.UP NEXTCoyotes: Conclude a three-game road swing in Calgary on Sunday.Oilers: Host Buffalo Sabres on Monday. The Anaheim Ducks will try to avoid their longest losing streak in three years when they begin a four-game homestand against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday evening at Honda Center. The Ducks (5-5-1) have lost four straight to erase a promising 5-1-1 start. They haven’t dropped five in a row since a 0-4-1 stretch on Oct. 22-29, 2015.Anaheim beat San Jose 5-2 in the season opener for both teams on Oct. 3. That served as a springboard for early success, but the Ducks have hit a wall in the past week, getting outscored 15-6 in the current losing streak.Article continues below ...“We have to figure it out in our room,” Anaheim defenseman Josh Manson told reporters after a 5-2 loss at the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. “Look in the mirror and pull ourselves out of it.”The Sharks, meanwhile, have gone 3-0-1 after a 2-3-1 start. They nearly ran their winning streak to four games on Friday night but couldn’t hold leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before losing in a shootout at the Carolina Hurricanes.“What a tale of two games,” Sharks coach Peter DeBoer told reporters afterward. “I walked out at the end of the first period. I thought we could have been up 4-0, and then we never won another race or battle or shift the rest of the night.”San Jose’s three-game road trip concludes in Anaheim.Even during the Ducks’ hot start http://www.officialdevils.com/authentic-adidas-miles-wood-jersey , they had a major disparity between the amount of shots on goal they were taking and the number they were giving up. That gap has grown even wider as Anaheim currently allows the most shots on goal per game in the NHL at 38.2 while taking the fewest (24).“All of us, collectively, can play better,” Manson said. “We really have to take a hard look at ourselves here.”A good sign from the loss to the Stars on Thursday night were the two goals scored by center Ryan Getzlaf, his first of the season.Getzlaf had two assists in the season-opening win over the Sharks but sustained a groin injury three nights later at the Arizona Coyotes and missed the next five games.Anaheim hasn’t won since Getzlaf rejoined the lineup on Oct. 20 at the Vegas Golden Knights.Anaheim also recently added left winger Nick Ritchie, who ended a holdout by signing a three-year contract on Oct. 18. He made his debut on Tuesday in a 3-1 loss at the Chicago Blackhawks but sustained an upper-body injury against Dallas and could be out of action against the Sharks.San Jose could be without center Tomas Hertl, who didn’t come out for the third period against the Hurricanes because of an undisclosed injury. Hertl has nine points in nine games.DeBoer told reporters after Friday’s loss that Hertl is day to day.“He’s been dealing with something here most of the year,” DeBoer said. “He’s been playing through it and he just reaggravated it.”
